Why Aren't Prices Listed?
The prices for Medela breast pumps are not listed...why?
Medela forbids the listing of prices for the Medela Pump In Style, Freestyle, and Swing models on the internet. This policy was instituted by Medela in 2008 and revised in 2012. There are a very limited number of Large National Chain stores (ie BabiesRUS, ect) that are allowed to list prices.
Therefore, authorized retailers do not list prices on the internet except for a select group of retailers such as BabiesRUs ect. So, as an authorized Medela retailer customers must request a price list either by email, phone, or chat..
Does it matter if I get my breast pump from an authorized retailer?
Yes, authorized retailers offer a manufacturer warranty. In order to place a warranty claim a customer must provide proof of purchase from an authorized retailer. (This is a significant investment and you deserve to have a valid warranty).
